ABOUT ME
You can call me Thorn, and I'm a digital artist, aspiring animator, follower of Jesus, and a person. I am 17 and live in the United States - Maine to be specific. I like to do many creative things, which includes but is not limited to: reading, writing, drawing, web design, knitting, and daydreaming. I have a habit of starting projects and either never finishing them or taking 2 bajillion years to do it, but I am trying to get better at not doing that.
The idea of making something that people remember has always been appealing to me, and before I discovered the indie web I, like many people, thought becoming big on social media was the only way to do it. I have tried taking content creation seriously several times too, but I find that I always get very burnt out by trying to keep up with the hive mind and YouTube's expectations very quickly. And honestly, I'm sick of what social media has become. So when I stumbled upon Neocities by chance, I decided to make my own space on the internet, away from the ads, algorithms and tight constraints that Mark Zuckerburg, Elon Musk and all the other Obviously Superior Corporation CEOs enforce on us. I like being able to do whatever I want here.
